Community Guidelines

Golo is a place for adults to meet and chat. These guidelines keep the community safe and respectful, and they are part of our Terms of Service. Breaking them can get your content removed or your account suspended or banned.

Be respectful

Treat others the way you’d want to be treated. No harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, hate speech, or slurs of any kind — including on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, caste, disability, gender, or sexual orientation.

Adults only — zero tolerance for minors

Golo is strictly 18+. Any content that sexualizes minors, and any indication that a user is under 18, is reported and actioned immediately. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse or exploitation. See our Child Safety Standards.

Be real

• No impersonation, fake profiles, or bots.
• Use accurate information about yourself, including your age.
• No spam, scams, solicitation, advertising, or fundraising.
• Don’t use Golo for any illegal activity.

Respect privacy & consent

• Never share someone’s private information, or reveal their sexual orientation (“out” them), without their consent.
• Don’t capture, screenshot, or redistribute others’ messages or conversations to harm, harass, or expose them.
• Get clear consent in conversations. “No” means no, and you can stop a conversation at any time.

No paid companionship

Golo is for people meeting each other, not for business. Don’t offer, ask for, or arrange companionship, dating, or any sexual act in exchange for money, gifts, or other compensation. This includes escorting, “sugar” arrangements, and using Golo to send people to paid content, tip accounts, or payment handles.

No exploiting vulnerable people

Don’t target or take advantage of someone because they are vulnerable — whether through their age, a disability, poverty, addiction, isolation, immigration status, or a crisis they are going through. Coercion, blackmail (including threatening to share intimate images), and human trafficking in any form result in a permanent ban and, where required, a report to the authorities.

Keep it lawful

No content that is illegal, obscene, promotes violence or exploitation, incites hatred, or facilitates trafficking or the sale of illegal goods. Sexually explicit content involving minors is never permitted and is reported to the authorities.

Don’t abuse the platform

Don’t attempt to hack, scrape, overload, reverse-engineer, or probe the security of Golo, and don’t introduce malware or interfere with other users’ use of the service.

Reporting & blocking

If someone breaks these rules, block them and report them from their profile or your chat. Reports are confidential. Reports indicating a user may be a minor trigger an immediate priority review and account suspension.

Enforcement

Depending on severity, we may remove content, issue a warning, suspend, or permanently ban accounts. Serious violations — especially anything involving child safety — result in an immediate ban and, where required, a report to the relevant authorities.
