Mallu gay chat, in Malayalam
Golo is a free app for Mallu gay chat that you can use entirely in Malayalam: a chat and dating app for gay and bisexual men in India, aged 18 and over. There are no profile photos at all, so nobody’s face is on show, yours included.
In Kerala or anywhere else in India, the language goes with you, not with your location. Gay chat in India has the other languages and the city pages, and Golo compared with other apps shows how it differs.
Switch Golo to Malayalam
Choose it the first time you open Golo, or change it later in Settings.
On the first screen, pick മലയാളം
Golo starts with a list of its nine languages, each in its own script. Tapping മലയാളം turns that screen Malayalam at once, so you can check it reads well before you go on. Then tap Continue (തുടരുക); the rest of sign-up is in Malayalam.
Changing later? Use Settings
Open Settings (സജ്ജീകരണങ്ങൾ), tap Language (ഭാഷ) and choose മലയാളം. Every screen follows straight away.
Narrow Browse to Kerala
In Browse (ബ്രൗസ്), tap Filters (ഫിൽട്ടറുകൾ), then State (സംസ്ഥാനം), and pick Kerala, which stays in English in the list. Then tap Apply (പ്രയോഗിക്കുക).
See who is around right now
Turn on Online only (ഓൺലൈൻ മാത്രം) in Filters. Or change Sort by (ക്രമീകരിക്കുക) from Last active (അടുത്തിടെ സജീവം), the default, to Nearby (അടുത്തുള്ളവർ) for the men online right now, nearest first. Meeting someone? Golo’s Community Guidelines set out what is expected of everyone.

Golo is safety-first by design

No profile photo, anywhere
Golo has no profile picture field at all. People read your name, age, position and a short bio — not your face.
An approximate distance, never your spot
Others only ever see roughly how many kilometres away you are, never your exact location.
Chat photos open once
A photo sent inside a chat opens exactly once, and then we delete it from our servers.
Messages clear after 30 days
Every message deletes itself after 30 days, so old conversations are not sitting on your phone.
App Lock and no screenshots
A PIN or your fingerprint in front of the app, and screen capture and recording are blocked throughout.
A phone number, nothing else
Sign up with your mobile number and a one-time code — no email, and no Google or Facebook login tying Golo to the rest of your life. 18+ only.
Common questions
Does the Malayalam setting change who I see?
No. It changes Golo’s own words: buttons, menus and screens. Golo has no language filter, other men do not see which language you use, and messages are not translated.
What do other men see on my profile?
A display name, your age, your position, whether you have a place to meet, a short bio and an approximate distance. They also see when you are online now and how many likes you have. No photo: your picture is the first letter of your display name.
Is Golo free?
Yes. Golo is free, shows no ads and has no paid tier.
