Switch Golo to Kannada
On the first screen, or any time later from Settings.
On the first screen, pick ಕನ್ನಡ
Golo first shows its nine languages, each in its own script with the English name too. Tap ಕನ್ನಡ and the screen changes to Kannada at once. Then tap Continue (ಮುಂದುವರಿ) to carry on with sign-up in Kannada.
Or switch later in Settings
Open Settings (ಸೆಟ್ಟಿಂಗ್ಗಳು), then Language (ಭಾಷೆ), and choose ಕನ್ನಡ. The app switches straight away.
Narrow Browse to Karnataka
In Browse (ಬ್ರೌಸ್), tap Filters (ಫಿಲ್ಟರ್ಗಳು), then State (ರಾಜ್ಯ), and choose Karnataka, which stays in English in the list. Tap Apply (ಅನ್ವಯಿಸಿ).
Put online men first, nearest first
Browse starts with Last active (ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಸಕ್ರಿಯ). Set Sort by (ವಿಂಗಡಿಸಿ) to Nearby (ಹತ್ತಿರದವರು) for the men online right now, nearest first, or turn on Online only (ಆನ್ಲೈನ್ ಮಾತ್ರ) for who is around now. Gay chat in India lists the other languages.

Golo has no profile picture field at all. People read your name, age, position and a short bio — not your face.
An approximate distance, never your spot
Others only ever see roughly how many kilometres away you are, never your exact location.
Chat photos open once
A photo sent inside a chat opens exactly once, and then we delete it from our servers.
Messages clear after 30 days
Every message deletes itself after 30 days, so old conversations are not sitting on your phone.
App Lock and no screenshots
A PIN or your fingerprint in front of the app, and screen capture and recording are blocked throughout.
A phone number, nothing else
Sign up with your mobile number and a one-time code — no email, and no Google or Facebook login tying Golo to the rest of your life. 18+ only.
Common questions
Does the Kannada setting change who I see?
No. It changes the app’s own words, not the men in Browse. Golo has no language filter, your language is not on your profile, and messages are not translated.
Can I keep my grid to Bengaluru?
Not by city: the State filter stops at Karnataka. Choose Karnataka, then sort by Nearby so the men online right now come first, nearest first.
Is Golo free?
Yes. Golo is free, with no ads, no subscription and no paid tier.
