Gay chat in India, in your language

Golo is not an Indian gay chat room: it is a free one-to-one chat and dating app for gay and bisexual men in India, aged 18 and over. You see the men near you in Browse and message the ones you want to talk to.

Language or city: which do you need?

They do different jobs. Your language changes how Golo looks for you: every button, filter and screen. It does not change who you see. Who you see depends on where you are: Browse is built from the men nearest to you, starts with the ones seen most recently, and the State filter can narrow it to one state or union territory.

Golo is safety-first by design

On for everyone from the moment you sign up, except App Lock, which you switch on in Settings. Nothing here costs anything.

  • No profile photo, anywhere

    Golo has no profile picture field at all. People read your name, age, position and a short bio — not your face.

  • An approximate distance, never your spot

    Others only ever see roughly how many kilometres away you are, never your exact location.

  • Chat photos open once

    A photo sent inside a chat opens exactly once, and then we delete it from our servers.

  • Messages clear after 30 days

    Every message deletes itself after 30 days, so old conversations are not sitting on your phone.

  • App Lock and no screenshots

    A PIN or your fingerprint in front of the app, and screen capture and recording are blocked throughout.

  • A phone number, nothing else

    Sign up with your mobile number and a one-time code — no email, and no Google or Facebook login tying Golo to the rest of your life. 18+ only.

Common questions

Can I talk to men in another state?

Yes. The State filter lists all 36 states and union territories, not just yours, so you can choose another one and message the men there.

Can I call someone on Golo?

Yes. Voice and video calls are one to one, and Golo does not record or store them.

Is Golo on iPhone?

Not yet. Golo is an Android app; an iPhone version is not available.
