Child Safety Standards (CSAE)
Last updated: July 1, 2026
Golo has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page describes the standards we enforce and how we comply with the Google Play CSAE policy, the Apple App Store guidelines, and applicable law in India and elsewhere.
Adults only
Golo is strictly for users 18 and older. We require date-of-birth verification at sign-up, block anyone under 18, and prevent a second attempt after a failed age check. We never knowingly allow minors on the Platform.
Prohibited content & conduct
- Any sexual content involving, or appearing to involve, minors (CSAM).
- Grooming, solicitation, or any attempt to engage a minor.
- Sexualization of minors in text, display names, or bios.
- Sharing, requesting, or linking to CSAE/CSAM in any form.
Detection & moderation
Display names and bios are screened by automated moderation. User reports are reviewed, and any account indicating that a user may be a minor is suspended immediately pending review. We act on child-safety signals as our highest priority.
Reporting
Anyone can report a concern in-app from a profile or a chat (reason: “User may be a minor”), or email our team directly. Where we identify CSAE or CSAM, we remove it, ban the account, preserve relevant evidence, and report to the appropriate authorities — including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or local authorities such as India’s cybercrime helpline (1930) and the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in), as required by law.
Designated child-safety contact
Our designated point of contact for child-safety matters is childsafety@goloapp.co. Reports are handled with urgency and confidentiality.
Compliance
These standards are published to comply with the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy and reflect our ongoing commitment to preventing CSAE across the service. We review and update our safety procedures regularly.
