Kolkata gay chat, without a photo
Golo is a free app for Kolkata gay chat and dating: a chat and dating app for gay and bisexual men in India, aged 18 and over. Nobody on it has a profile photo, and every screen can be in Bengali.
Kolkata is the capital of West Bengal. Golo has no city or area search, and its State filter has one entry for the whole state, Siliguri and Darjeeling included. So the filter keeps your grid in the state, and sorting by Nearby is what brings the men closest to you forward. Gay chat in India lists the other cities.
Find men in Kolkata on Golo
Start in Browse, the first tab, and open its Filters sheet for the first three steps.
Set Sort by to Nearby
Browse starts on Last active, the men seen most recently first. In Filters, choose Nearby and tap Apply: the men online now come first, then the rest, closest first each time.
Choose West Bengal, if you like
In Filters, choose West Bengal under State and tap Apply. Anyone outside the state drops out. Howrah, and Bidhannagar in North 24 Parganas, stay in, because both are in West Bengal.
Turn on Online only
It leaves just the men who are around right now. Age, Position and Has a place are in the same sheet.
Switch the app to Bengali
Settings, then Language, then বাংলা. Every screen changes at once; Bengali gay chat shows the app’s Bengali words.

A photo sent inside a chat opens exactly once, and then we delete it from our servers.
Messages clear after 30 days
Every message deletes itself after 30 days, so old conversations are not sitting on your phone.
App Lock and no screenshots
A PIN or your fingerprint in front of the app, and screen capture and recording are blocked throughout.
A phone number, nothing else
Sign up with your mobile number and a one-time code — no email, and no Google or Facebook login tying Golo to the rest of your life. 18+ only.
Common questions
Will men in Siliguri see me?
They can. The State filter cannot separate Kolkata from Siliguri or Darjeeling, and each man’s Browse is built from the men nearest to him. What they see is a display name, your age, your position, whether you have a place to meet, a short bio and an approximate distance, plus whether you are online now and how many likes you have. No photo.
