Golo is a free app for Telugu gay chat: a chat and dating app for gay and bisexual men in India, aged 18 and over, with every screen in Telugu. Nobody on it has a profile photo, so you start with words, not a face.

Switch Golo to Telugu
Choose it on the first screen, or change it later in Settings, as often as you like.
On the first screen, pick తెలుగు
The first time you open Golo, it shows its nine languages, each in its own script with the English name too. Tap తెలుగు and the screen turns Telugu straight away, so you see it before you commit. Then tap Continue (కొనసాగించు): sign-up carries on in Telugu.
Already using Golo? Change it in Settings
Open Settings (సెట్టింగ్లు), tap Language (భాష) under General (సాధారణం), and choose తెలుగు. Every screen changes at once.
Narrow Browse to Telangana or Andhra Pradesh
In Browse (బ్రౌజ్), tap Filters (ఫిల్టర్లు), then State (రాష్ట్రం). The state list stays in English in every language, so look for Telangana or Andhra Pradesh written just like that, then tap Apply (వర్తింపజేయి). In Hyderabad? See Hyderabad gay chat.
See who is around right now
Browse starts sorted by Last active (ఇటీవల యాక్టివ్): the men seen most recently come first. In Filters, turn on Online only (ఆన్లైన్లో మాత్రమే), or set Sort by (క్రమబద్ధీకరించు) to Nearby (దగ్గరలోని వారు) to put the men online right now at the top, nearest first.

Golo is safety-first by design
On for everyone from the moment you sign up, except App Lock, which you switch on in Settings. Nothing here costs anything.
No profile photo, anywhere
Golo has no profile picture field at all. People read your name, age, position and a short bio — not your face.
An approximate distance, never your spot
Others only ever see roughly how many kilometres away you are, never your exact location.
Chat photos open once
A photo sent inside a chat opens exactly once, and then we delete it from our servers.
Messages clear after 30 days
Every message deletes itself after 30 days, so old conversations are not sitting on your phone.
App Lock and no screenshots
A PIN or your fingerprint in front of the app, and screen capture and recording are blocked throughout.
A phone number, nothing else
Sign up with your mobile number and a one-time code — no email, and no Google or Facebook login tying Golo to the rest of your life. 18+ only.
Common questions
Will I only see men who speak Telugu?
No. Golo has no language filter, and your language is not shown on your profile. The setting changes the app’s own words, not the men in Browse, and it does not translate messages: you write to people in whatever language you share.
Does Golo cost anything?
No. Golo is free, shows no ads and has no paid tier. Nothing is locked behind a subscription.
